Life and Leisure on Lake Erie
The joint exhibition Life and Leisure on Lake Erie is a wide-ranging collection of artifacts and images from the era when the lake and its shore line was both a popular tourist attraction and a source of livelihood for thousands of people. Marine art, salvage from famous wrecks and several ship models are included. Other highlights of the exhibition are a photographic essay on the Lake Erie fishery by artist Jan Row and an installation marking the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the car ferry Marquette and Bessemer No. 2 by Kirtley Jarvis.
